Financial Advisors
In 2021, I selected a new financial advisor who has a greater focus on impact investing. My primary focus is to make an impact on the climate crisis and Cap Rock very quickly helped me moved a portion of my portfolio to be more in line with my goals. Here’s a short list of financial advisors who I found to have at least some focus on Impact Investing:
Active Investments
I mostly invest in funds since I don’t consider myself a stock picker or professional investor. On rare occasions I’ll invest in something because I have a close connection with a founder and strongly believe in their vision. Here are a few impact oriented funds and companies who invested in, mostly with the help from my financial advisor.
NeuroReserve
Nutritional supplements for lifelong brain health. I met Edward Park, CEO of NeuroReserve in High School. Ed is one of the hardest working guys I know, so it was a no brainer :) to invest in his company that is aiming to support brain health, particularly those who are concerned about neurodegenerative disease.
BlackRock Global Renewable Power Infrastructure Fund III
The fund seeks to invest across the spectrum of climate infrastructure assets, with a focus on renewable power generation, and energy storage and distribution.
Lightsmith Climate Resilience Fund
The Lightsmith Group is a private equity firm pursuing superior financial returns along with measurable social and environmental impacts by investing in companies that address major societal needs.
